Rob Johnson – Co-Founder
Film Acquisitions
Rob Johnson is an accomplished and strategic professional with 8+ years of experience as the owner and operator of an independent film distribution company combined with an additional 22+ years of experience in the entertainment industry.
Throughout his career, Rob has adopted a highly strategic approach to acquiring, promoting, and distributing high-impact content that enables continuous growth for all parties.
One of his primary strengths lies in cultivating and maintaining relationships with influential players across the entertainment industry while enabling collaboration with cross-functional internal teams.
At his core, Rob leverages his well-honed industry expertise and intuition to identify content with strong potential and develop a comprehensive acquisition and distribution strategy to drive consistent success.
Rob holds a B.A. in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from UCLA.
Leonard Burnett, Jr. – Co-Founder
Sales & Business Development
Len Burnett is an industry veteran and highly successful entrepreneur with over 20 years of publishing experience. As a pioneer in the urban media space, Len has been at the forefront of transforming marketer’s perception of the importance of reaching this growing audience. Len’s expertise in advertising sales and marketing leadership has enabled him to successfully launch 7 major magazines with exceptional advertising growth.
Burnett serves as Co-Founder and Group Publisher of Uptown magazine, a bi-monthly publication for urbanites focusing on the lifestyle and culture of Affluent African Americans across the nation and with special editions in New York, Chicago, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit and Philadelphia. Uptown Media Group also comprises Uptownmagazine.com, the interactive website, as well as Uptown’s signature upscale events. Burnett was also formerly the Co-CEO of the Vibe Lifestyle Network, an online advertising network with Vibe.com as its flagship property and the bi-monthly Vibe Magazine.
Prior to Uptown, Burnett was Group Publisher of VIBE, the nation’s leading urban music and culture magazine, and its spin-off, VIBE Vixen, the fashion and beauty title for women. In fact, Burnett was a member of the team that founded VIBE in 1993 as the Associate Publisher. In 1999, he co-founded the urban publishing company Vanguarde Media, where he was Group Publisher of Honey, Heart & Soul, Impact, and Savoy.
Len is also an author, he penned his first book “Black is the New Green-Marketing to Affluent African Americans”. The book offers astute insight into one very powerful demographic shift that is driving the trend toward niche marketing – and provides compelling and cost-effective strategies for reaching this emerging new affluent niche.
Burnett has recently become Head Of Media and Original Entertainment at Hero Collective. Hero Collective is a Black-owned digital-first creative, media agency, and venture lab that turns brands into Heroes. With a focus on taking back ownership of our content and narrative, the Hero Collective innovation studio builds brands and businesses through purpose.
Len received a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, and Marketing from Florida A&M University.

Sean is an award-winning entrepreneur and seasoned business professional with more than 20 years of experience across many functional areas, in settings ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, and in roles as a business executive, startup founder, management consultant, and software engineer.
At Homestead, Sean has overall responsibility for strategy, operations, corporate development, partnerships, client relations, marketing/branding, PR, technology, and finance.
Sean holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and earned his undergraduate degree in Systems and Computer Science from Howard University.
